The new German Battery Act (BattDG) comes into force in October

The Battery Implementation Act, or BattDG for short, came into force on 6 October 2025. It is an adaptation of the EU Battery Regulation and, after some discussion and amendments, is now the underlying law in Germany. Please find the exact wording here:
