Important Changes due to the new Battery Regulation – Ensure Your Compliance Today!
If you are a foreign producer introducing batteries to the German market, it is essential to ensure that your registration meets the current legal requirements.
Soon, the possibility for self-registration will be abolished, and all foreign producers will be required to appoint an Authorized Representative.
This change results from the new EU Battery Regulation and applies also to producers who already have a valid Battery Registration.
If you do not apply for a new registration with an Authorised Representative in time, you will lose your permission to place batteries or products containing batteries on the German market. If you are affected, you may have already received an official letter from the German authorities (stiftung ear) informing you of the need to appoint an Authorised Representative.
You have not received a letter yet but have concerns?
If you have not received any communication from the authorities but have doubts about your registration, or if you are planning to start selling in Germany, please do not hesitate to contact us! Our experts with years of experience will be happy to answer your questions, clarify your obligations, and ensure your products are in full compliance with extended producer responsibility regulations.
What will happen with your Battery Registration without Authorised Representative (AR) after April 1st 2025?
